Our matte boxes aren't just filter holders. Protecting your lens from stray light improves contrast and resolution. The carbon fibre blades are fixed to light alloy axles that stay with the flag. Remove the flag, remove the weight.

Creating a new standard in compact lightweight matte boxes, Blacklight is engineered to achieve an incredibly high strength to weight ratio. Combining a rock solid carbon fibre core with sophisticated hard anodised alloys, Blacklight is extremely tough and built to last. And yes, this image is real and it still works perfectly.

Adjustable glide rail. A mounting point with a difference.

A feather light floating hole. The 3/8" mounting point means you can attach a small LED light, a monitor or best of all, a Cinetape for tracking distance. Simply twist, slide and place it wherever you want, or remove it in seconds.

6.6"x6.6" filter trays. For really big lenses.

For large diameter zooms and ultra wide primes, Blacklight is the perfect clamp-on matte box. Securely hold up to three 6x6 filters and connect directly to an Optimo 24-290mm zoom.

With the addition of the lightweight arm, Blacklight becomes a fully functioning studio matte box. Once attached the arm can be removed in seconds. Simply release the lock, slide the matte box off the arm, and you're ready to go in clamp on mode.

Vertical rise

Everything lines up nicely There are many great new accessories out there, but sometimes things don’t line up. Our vertical height adjustment system allows you 12.5mm of movement. Meaning whatever accessories you use, your matte box works.

Cover lenses as wide as a Zeiss 8R mm rectilinear, and still use 3 filter stages. Use RED Pro Zooms at 5K.
